God's Prison Ministry
Our ministry really began to blossom after we were asked to lead the music for the Immanuel Baptist Church jail ministry, which was established in February 1999 by Phyllis & two other church members, Mack & Mitzi Hall. This ministry has since expanded and encompasses team members of several churches, and is now known as "Free Life Prison Ministries".
Free Life Prison Ministries reaches those behind bars whom are sometimes forgotten, and viewed with an attitude of "lock 'em up & throw away the key". We don't believe that. In the Bible, Hebrews 13:3 states, "Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them." When you combine that with Jesus' command to "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you", then we simply MUST minister to them!

The Free Life Prison Ministries reaches out to both prisoners & parolees nation-wide through the "Free Life News", first published in October, 2000. This is a newsletter that is intended to encourage inmates to share their salvation testimony, poems, artwork, & other articles of interest with each other. And through it all, the love of Christ & His amazing grace is the focus.
The Free Life News is completely funded by donations. Currently this ministry is in need of additional financial support. The demand for the newsletter has continued to grow, & now over 3500 issues are printed monthly. We estimate that double that amount are actually reading it. Many prisoners have been led to the saving grace of Jesus Christ through the newsletter. Please pray about making a donation to this wonderful ministry!
