IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES

How would you react if you knew Jesus was coming back at exactly 6:00AM tomorrow morning? What would you do? How would you spend your final hours on this earth? Would you be ready? Would your loved ones be ready?

I don't know about you, but I'd be frantically calling or visiting everyone that I knew that did not know Jesus, and pleading with them - begging them to be saved before it was too late! But wait........... would I have enough time to call? Do I even know which people in my life are saved, and which ones are on the path to hell? What if they didn't believe me? Have I even lived my own life in such a way that an unsaved person would believe what I had to say about Jesus? And by the way, am I even sure of my own salvation?

Those are terrible questions to even think about, aren't they?

NOW is the time to know the answers to those questions! Did you know that God's Word says that you can know for certain where you will spend eternity after this life? Read 1 John 5:13 in your Bible (towards the back of the New Testament). As a matter of fact, the Book of 1 John says "so that you may know" 26 times! God's Word is like a road map to eternity. If you don't know the directions, you will end up on the "wrong" road, and if time runs out before you turn around, you will find yourself spending eternity (forever and ever) in a terrible place called hell.

Don't make that mistake. If you are not certain whether or not you are going to heaven when you die, chances are you aren't saved. Before you can witness to others, you must be sure of your own salvation.

Have you heard of the "Roman Road"? Well, God gave us a lot of scripture in the New Testament Book of Romans that shows us the way to be "saved", or to become a Christian:

Romans 3:10 says "There is none righteous, no, not one." None of us are perfect, no matter how hard we try to be. How can we live in a perfect heaven after this life if we're not perfect?

Romans 3:23 says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." That means you. That means me. Why are we sinful people, anyway?

Well, Romans 5:12 explains that "through one man (Adam), sin entered the world (he ate that goofy apple!), and death (entered) through sin (man wasn't meant to die when God first created him), thus death spread to all men (that includes you and me), because all sinned."

And Romans 6:23 says "For the wages (or payment for) sin is death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." That means there's still hope for us! So how do we accept that gift from God?

Read Romans 10:9-13. It's really simple! All we have to do is ASK! But of course, we must believe that Jesus is who He says He is (God's son), & that He did what He says He did (came back to life again after He was dead), & that He did it for YOU! Then we must go and tell somebody that we've accepted that gift, 'cause God wants to know you really mean it, and chances are you wouldn't tell anybody about this if you didn't really mean it, right?

Say a prayer today! Tell God you want that gift! Tell Jesus you believe He died for you! Then thank Him for "saving" you from taking the wrong road. Then tell someone what you have done, and watch your life start to change (for the better!). Read 2 Corinthians 5:17-21.

John 3:36 assures us that "he who believes in the Son has everlasting life". Can you say that you do? If the answer if yes, print this article & share it with those you love. Make sure that they're going to be in heaven with you. Don't wait until it's too late!
